Hi, everybody! :rotfl:

Just got an email from Anne, the administrator of the Steve Bacic fansite, and THERE'S AWESOME NEWS! :gossip:

For all you American fans of Steve Bacic, his acclaimed Canadian TV series "THE GUARD" will be coming to the ION channel in the U.S.A. this coming fall TV season (assuming everything goes according to plan).

Here's the article:

I've seen one episode and it's a great show. Gordon Michael Woolvett (a.k.a. Andromeda's resident genius Seamus Harper) also appears on it as a supporting actor, so a few Andromeda alumni there.
:laola2:

Thanks, Anne, for the heads up! (palmas)

Sometimes I feel I live far,far from civilisation....

I'm very happy for you (she says with green eyes glowing)

For those of us outside the US and Canada there is a small ray of light - the first seven episodes of series 1 are available in full at VEOH.com
Don't take that as an advert, I don't use VEOH often - but I have used it for that

It does also have a good number of Andromeda episodes in full in both English and German - and they're not broken into segments in the annoying way that youtube requires. Again - not a recommendation - personally I think you should buy it if it's available, you know you like it and you can.

Oh my - that was a useful snippet of information.

Found movie maker on my machine recently but couldn't get into my discs to use clips. (no FLV) I had a bit of fun anyway with screencaps from andromeda-web.com and produced a little something.

Then I pondered your wee piece of info. and wondered if it would work to use the veoh episodes since they were already 'unlocked'.

Well now I'm gonna have to blame you for the housework being shoddy this week..... since I've been having way too much fun putting clips together.

Well it's all educational I'm sure... <banana&mario>

Haha well if anyone asks about why your housework is shoddy you can blame me. I take full responsibility. <whistle>

Yes, if you have a veoh account, you can download the andromeda episodes they have there (which are usually in avi form i think). They work really well. I have since bought a DVD ripper so I can actually get the episodes direct off my DVDs (it's called Magic DVD Ripper and it works amazingly), but I used episodes off veoh for the first half of my vids I think.

Happy vidding! Just saw your first vid - it's great! Keep it up! Like I said, we need more Andromeda vidders around.
